The wall hangings turned out wonderful. Loved both of them. Yes, we did have a great Thanksgiving, now need to think about all the calories we consumed. :>( Am going to a felting workshop in San Diego…..3 hour drive from where I live……am looking forward to it this weekend. Wish you were so much closer to me, not 1/2 a world away….. as I would love to take part in your workshops.

Good morning Nicola,

Well it’s Thanksgiving here in the U.S. today and I’d dare say that if I were to attempt a rug like this, that I could eat a whole pie with absolutely no guilt of the caloric content! What a workout, but well worth the effort. I absolutely love all of that texture. You may have already mentioned this, but my poor brain is not quite awake yet…What size is this? And you’re right…It just beckons to have you run your toes through it. Great job Nicola.

I have to say that your dog must be much better behaved than mine. If I were to put a beautiful rug down like that, he’d claim that in no time flat. I’d never get a chance to run my toes through it!

Well, I know it’s not Thanksgiving in Ireland, but just wanted to tell you since it is here, how very thankful I am for your friendship. Have a great day Nicola.

Chrissie here ,did a retake seeing another Chrissie very confusing can you tag me with Chrissie Day now ,Looks great fun and the toes will stay warm,a good week for experiments did you see my strange people from my needlefelting attempts must say though it is addictive you just want to keep going .

I agree with you – the book is very interesting and inspiring and different than others – and yes this stunning rug in the vibrant red colours is still on my ‘have-to-make-once-in-my-life’ list too!

Good morning Nicola,

Well from the looks of my surroundings, that would be all the incentive that I would need…The promise of some help with house cleaning. We had our Guild Sale over the past 3 days, so at the conclusion of the event, of course the dreaded tear down and clean-up. Well, with approximately 15 of us working, it only took a little over an hour, including loading all of the heavy display equipment into trailers. I asked if they could all come to my house one day next week. With the whole group working to tidy my house, I figure we’d be done in about….A MONTH My incentive will have to be that my parents will be here in about one month, so I’d better get busy or they’ll have to hurdle over the wool to get in!

My husband is always after me to get a business plan… Sounds similar to your Business mentor’s advice. I need to work on becoming a better business person. Oh, but the creating is so much more fun…

Can’t wait to hear all about the workshop…Dawn

Nicola, you may want to try Dawanda where you can list items in sterling. Etsy is not the best place to try out prices since competition is fierce, many prices are below cost, and the average selling price on the site is $15. It is not a good site for figuring pricing. It might be ok for selling supplies, but not for finished products. Several other handmade only sites might be more appropriate and reach the right customers.
